When looking ventrally:   If so:

long and slender palp segments


 

The palps are not club shaped with a visible division between palp segment II and III (long arrow)

1st Coxa has a moderate internal spur (short arrow) and no external spur

The basis capitulum has transverse grooves (yellow arrow) and no distinct auricles

The tick is of genus:
  Ixodes hexagonus
